I AM MARYLAND

I am the top state producer of crabs in the U.S.A.
I am owner of the Chesapeake bay.
My flag is white, yellow, black and red,
The person who made it is now dead.
The coat of arms is on the flag,
Which you are not allowed to drag.
Maryland is called “The Free State”,
Because alcohol was illegal and that’s great!
The state sport is jousting,
Which sometimes involves ousting.
Babe Ruth died of cancer and that’s bad,
His parents must have been very sad.
The Maryland darter is almost gone,
If we’re not careful, we’ll have to say so long.
The biggest city in Maryland is Baltimore,
It is near Maryland’s shore.
If you think Baltimore’s aquarium isn’t formal,
Well,you must be abnormal.
I am Maryland,
I have a lot of supply but also a lot of demand.
